Join Northern Virginia Bird Alliance (NVBA) for our first ever bookclub! On November 22, we will gather at Four Mile Run Park to discuss The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Inspired by the book’s themes of reciprocity and interdependence, we’ll share both our thoughts and food items with the group.

After NVBA staff lead us through a discussion of the book, we’ll host a foodswap where attendees are invited to bring food items to share, exchange, or contribute. Everyone is encouraged to take what they need. Remaining food will be donated locally.

While we encourage you to read The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World in advance, having done so is not necessary to particpate.
