Mason Neck State Park invites the community to celebrate the amazing creatures that keep our world blooming at Pollinator Palooza on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Northern Virginia Bird Alliance will have a Wildlife Sanctuary Program-focused table and we hope you will stop by!

This family-friendly event will feature hands-on activities and exhibits presented by Mason Neck State Park interpreters and community partners, including the Fairfax Master Naturalists, Northern Virginia Bird Alliance, Fairfax Master Gardeners, Fairfax Tree Stewards, and others. Visitors can tour the park' pollinator gardens and discover how adding just a few native plants to their yards can provide valuable habitat for bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators.

Sponsored by the Friends of Mason Neck State Park, Pollinator Palooza offers fun and educational opportunities for all ages to learn how they can become champions for these hardworking wildlife species.

The event will take place near the picnic area and is free to attend after regular parking fees are paid. For more information, contact Mason Neck State Park or visit the Virginia State Parks website.
