We are working together to improve natural spaces. Come join us!
Stretch Our Parks is extending the positive ecological impacts of our parks into their surrounding neighborhoods. This benefits wildlife through improved habitats around and between parks. It benefits the wellbeing of people through expanded access to vibrant natural areas and involvement in achieving these improvements.
Led by the Arlington Regional Master Naturalists, the organizations and people acknowledged on this sign had already made significant habitat improvements in the Reeves Run corridor between Upton Hill Regional Park and Powhatan Springs Skate Park. Under Stretch Our Parks, partners are working to extend this corridor even further around these two parks. Come help us as we reach toward Four Mile Run in Bluemont Park to the east.
If you would like to help, you can volunteer through any of the following groups. Just mention “Habitat Restoration: Reeves Run Corridor” or the names of these two parks: Upton Hill Regional Park/Powhatan Springs Skate Park.
