$5.00

Hosted in partnership with Blue Ridge Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (PRISM) and the Virginia Invasive Plant Coalition, this webinar presents an hour-long presentation from Blue Ridge PRISM's Executive Director, Lauren Taylor. During her presentation, she will guide participants through identifying invasive plants in your landscapes, leaving time for questions at the end.

Whether you're looking to brush up on your invasive species ID before our next Stretch Our Parks event, learn about our partner groups, or you are just curious about what invasives might be in your own backyard, this program is a great resource!

About the Speaker

Lauren Taylor began her journey with invasive plants ten years ago as a volunteer helping build the new Patagonia National Park in Chile. She continued to volunteer on public and private lands in northern Virginia, including with the Fairfax County Invasive Management Area program and the Urban Forest Alliance. In 2022 she launched the Change.org petition asking Home Depot to stop selling invasive plants. Lauren received her MBA from UVA and has been a senior executive in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors, as well as an entrepreneur. She has a native plant micro-nursery in Greene County.
